Transformation at a prime location in the heart of Rotterdam
Since early 2020, BRiQ has been involved as commercial advisor in the large-scale redevelopment of the former V&D building on Hoogstraat in Rotterdam. The iconic building – strategically located in the city centre – was acquired in December 2019 by a consortium consisting of Angelo Gordon, Schroders Capital and NEOO.
The project involves the transformation of approximately 30,000 m² gross floor area into a modern mixed-use development, with around 24,000 m² high-quality office space and approximately 6,000 m² retail and catering on the ground and first floors.
Commercial strategy and positioning
From the outset, BRiQ Real Estate has been responsible for all aspects related to the commercial side of the office programme. In close collaboration with the developers, we advise on market positioning, target groups, rental pricing and layout options. The result is a future-proof office building distinguished by sustainability, architectural quality and amenities.
One of the largest transactions in Rotterdam
In 2023, we concluded one of the largest office lease transactions of the year in the Rotterdam market. BRiQ Real Estate facilitated the letting of approximately 5,900 m² office space and approximately 1,000 m² archive space to Unilever International Holdings B.V., which thereby took up residence in the most advanced office building currently available.
BRiQ
Thanks to our in-depth market knowledge, network within the (inter)national office market and strategic involvement at every phase of the project, BRiQ has proven to be an indispensable partner in realising the commercial objectives within this complex redevelopment.
