The Groot Handelsgebouw (GHG) in Rotterdam, located directly next to Central Station, welcomes a new tenant. Eidra has signed a long-term lease for approximately 2,280 m² of office space, spread across two floors on the corner of Weena and Stationsplein, directly above the former location of the well-known Brasserie Engels.
The Groot Handelsgebouw is the iconic symbol of Rotterdam’s post-war reconstruction and the largest multi-tenant commercial building in the Netherlands. Since 2019, the building has been owned by Jamestown and holds an energy label A as well as a BREEAM In-Use certificate. It comprises approximately 110,000 m² of office, retail, hospitality, and storage space. GHG accommodates more than 450 companies and offices and also offers a 7,000 m² rooftop terrace with panoramic views over the Rotterdam skyline and port.
“We are delighted that Eidra is establishing itself in the Groot Handelsgebouw. With their international and innovative character, they are an excellent fit for the dynamism and identity of this Rotterdam landmark,” says Jamestown.
As a result of this transaction, approximately 750 m² of temporary turn-key office space will become available for sublease.
