Vestia has sold a development site for housing at the Tweemolentjeskade 59-82 in Delft to The Urban Woods Delft BV. This is a joint venture of investor Monteban and Urban Climate Architects. The former building has since been demolished and an apartment complex is being built on the site by the buyer.
The development location is located in the Bomenwijk in Delft. The Bomenwijk is currently in full development, whereby sustainability and social cohesion are important spearheads. The apartment complex is part of the ‘Masterplan Bomenwijk’. The master plan aims to breathe new life into the post-war district. In the district much attention is paid to the original historical landscape value.
The Urban Woods is going to build an apartment complex with 2- and/or 3-room homes for the private rental sector. The Urban Woods uses timber construction – a combination of CLT and GLT – as a construction method. This makes healthy homes that store CO2. Healthy living next to the ‘Delftse Hout’ recreation area in combination with various communal facilities should ensure a fresh, contemporary living atmosphere.
Vestia was legally assisted in this transaction by Dirkzwager and commercially by BRiQ real estate.
