Description
Description
The impressive Blaak House is the middle of the three monumental bank buildings that together formed Rotterdam’s post-war financial district. The office for the ‘Nederlandse Handelsmaatschappij’ (NHM) on the Blaak was built on the same spot where the original building from 1917 stood. And now, a century later, Blaak House is being transformed into a unique, contemporary office environment. With this, solid, timeless design by the Rotterdam architect Kees Elffers once again offers an inspiring, characteristic workplace.
Location
Located in the bustling center of the metropolis of Rotterdam, Blaak House is within walking distance of excellent restaurants such as Fitzgerald, Alan & Pim’s and of course Jamie’s Italian in the adjacent Markthal, a true culinary meeting place. And those who want to indulge themselves in art and culture can be in the lively Witte de Withstraat in the blink of an eye. Settle down on the terraces in the Historic Old Port to enjoy the view of Europe’s first skyscraper. Blaak House is also in good company for business; Looyens & Loeff, Glencore Grain, Rabobank, Chamber of Commerce and Allianz are located in the immediate vicinity.
